Before designing anything, we listened. Heavy bleeders shared stories of laughs that turned into leaks, meetings cut short because of flooding, or long commutes filled with tension and fear. They talked about unpredictable clots, sudden gushes, and the emotional exhaustion of planning life around their cycle. What we heard again and again was not just frustration it was an urgent need for safety, confidence, and dignity. Every layer of the Anu Disc™ was developed in direct response to those conversations. Every feature retention, clot containment, leak protection, comfort was engineered around the lived reality of heavy flow. This disc exists because women finally had a product designer who listened.

This entire journey began in pain, embarrassment, and determination. Chanté Knox, founder, inventor, and the mind behind the Anu Disc™, experienced one of the worst nightmares any menstruating person can imagine: she was seated during a conference with hundreds of people in attendance when she suddenly sneezed. In that instant, the disc self-emptied. She felt the warm rush as she leaked through her clothes, right there in her seat. A man behind her gently tapped her on the shoulder and said, “Ma’am… you have blood running down your leg.” Heart pounding, she stood up, gathered her belongings, and walked out, making her way to the restroom while fighting the humiliation of knowing so many had witnessed it.
